DinnerSs @ Family Restaurant Number 5, Phuket

It wasn’t hard to find seafood restaurants around Phuket.  Especially we were in Patong beach.  But the key question is $$$$$.  Seriously, we just gotta used our “eye” skill to look around.. I mean its more like a judging by our eye whether the restaurant will “chop” us (for every obvious reason, I think we look very touristy la).  And my friends who were in Phuket a day earlier than us, spend THB800 only for 2 dishes meant for single person (squid and one fish).  I thought we could find a better deal so we walk down to the end of Bangla road, turn left and a few steps away is this small alley with a few restaurants in the alley.

After being pulled around by all the “representatives” from all the different restaurants in the alley, we settled for this seafood and thai food known as Family Restaurant Number 5.

Although its not the posh-type restaurant, the food kinda amaze me.  Its really nice and cheap that we went there again the next day.  And guess what?  One of the guy (with a lil gothic look and he has some cool tattoo on his arms!).

Dinner Day 1 (Total Cost for 4 person: THB1100 inclusive of 2 Big Bottle of Beer)

Inclusive of Coconut Drink (I remember its only THB30)

Stir Fry Squid with Sauce

Fried Rice with Pork

Crabs!!!

Thai Fish Cake

Steam Fish

You know what is the killer?  The chilli!!! Trust me, this is one of the spiciest and nice chilli dip I’ve ever tried!!!

Last but not least, fruits  :)

Dinner Day 2 (Total Cost for 4 person: THB1590 inclusive of 3 Big Bottle of Beer and Fish Cakes- similar to Fish Cake from Day1)

Pineapple Fried Rice

Close up: They fried with Chinese Pork Sausage, Squids, Prawns, Raisins and Cashew Nuts

Grilled Big-Prawns with dips

Fried La-la

Steam Fish

Fried Tung Hoon with “something” (I also don’t know what seafood is this..hehe :P )

And fruits… :)

Don’t you think its worth the price?  They even have fresh oysters too! But we didn’t order cos blur-devil don’t take oysters… hehhe… And among all the restaurants there, this particular has the most customers and I also spot the same people going back there!  =)

So if you happen to be in Patong, Phuket… why not give it a try?

*slurp*
